James Pratt is a co-founder and managing partner at Forsyth Advisors. Since 2002, Jim has worked exclusively with small to midsize companies with revenues ranging from $10 million to over $750 million. Jim creates operational strategy, manufacturing implementation, and sourcing improvements in a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, consumer packaged goods, contract filling, electronics, heavy industrial, light industrial, safety, and value added distribution.

His previous experience includes leading the first Asia sourcing group at a GE Transportation, creating a domestic supply chain for Alstom, and driving sourcing cost savings across Harbour Group’s portfolio of middle market companies. Jim is an engineering graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a master’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Nathan Overboe is a co-founder and managing partner at Forsyth Advisors. Since 2006, Nate has worked with exclusively with small to midsize companies with revenues ranging from $7 million to over $500 million. Nate has extensive experience in manufacturing and sourcing and works across a wide spectrum of industries including consumer products, heavy industrial, and distribution businesses.

Nate began his career designing and managing production of plastic injection molds for companies like Husqvarna, John Deere, and Sunbeam. Nate joined Harbour Group in 2006 where he led global sourcing projects and managed portfolio-wide leveraged pricing agreements. He holds a M.B.A from Washington University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.

Matt is a Partner at Forsyth Advisors and leads our business development efforts. He has over 25 years in global manufacturing, marketing, & business development. Prior to joining Forsyth Advisors in 2011, Matt worked in a broad range of industries, including, commercial building products, marine vessels, consumer products, and real estate investments – holding positions of Founder & CEO of Omni Architectural Products, Mailco Real Estate Holdings and Launch NPD new product development. Matt is a LEED Associate accredited sustainability professional, a graduate member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (formerly Y.E.O.), and board Vice President at the St. Louis Economic Council VentureWorks incubators. Matt has a B.S. in Marketing from Missouri State University..

MK Sathya is an operating partner at Forsyth Advisors. MK has extensive experience developing sourcing strategies and operational improvements for private equity owned companies such as Saxco International, Keystone Automotive, VWR International, as well as multinational corporations such as Textron, GE and Alcoa.

MK’s most recent executive position was as the Senior Vice President of Sourcing and Global Operations at Saxco International, where he oversaw strategic sourcing and operations strategy, warehousing, packaging operations and inventory management. MK is a an engineering graduate from Bangalore University with a master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Textron Global Leadership Forum from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and is a certified Six Sigma Master Black-belt.

Sonja Hordvik is a Vice President at Forsyth Advisors and leads Forsyth’s Management Development Program for new associates.  Sonja has facilitated client engagements across a wide range of industries including consumer products, manufacturing, food and beverage, value added distribution, and contract filling.  Since joining Forsyth in 2014, she has delivered over $15 million in annual profit improvements.

Sonja is a business graduate from University of Missouri St. Louis with an MBA from Maryville University. Additionally she has completed the business analytics program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Oscar has leveraged his engineering training and project management experience to deliver results to clients in industries ranging from automotive, food + beverage, and LED lighting. Oscar has delivered over $6 million in annual profit improvements in addition to his reshoring, make-buy, should-cost, and diligence projects.
CLAYTON BRENNER
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Clayton has managed projects across a wide breath of industries ranging from private label food manufacturers to custom cabinetry manufacturers and successfully identified savings in ingredients, direct components, and packaging categories.

Clayton almost won $10k in our first “Winternship”. Coming in 2nd place at least got him a job! Clayton is still trying to overcome the fact that people still assume he is the intern based on his face. Derpy Hooves!

ZACH MARTIN
MARKETING MANAGER
A U.S. Navy veteran and career storyteller, Zach graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Journalism. His career in journalism and marketing spans from small-town newspapers and financial services to recreational sports and even casinos. If you have a product or service, he can market it.

When not obsessing over segmentation scenarios and click-through rates, Zach is equally in tune with goals-against-averages at the Enterprise Center and average air yards per attempt for the Georgia Bulldogs. He has two sons, a beautiful wife, and a woefully untrained Norfolk terrier; he also cooks better than you.

JEFF RUSS
PROJECT MANAGER
Jeff has delivered savings on multiple categories while at Forsyth including spices, food ingredients, rigid and flexible packaging, and corrugate. Prior to joining Forsyth Advisors, he spent four years working at Curium, a global provider of nuclear medicine, as a laboratory technician in the Analytical Chemistry and Radiation Physics laboratories. Jeff has an Associate’s Degree in Chemical Technology from St. Louis Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics and Operations Management from the University of St. Louis – Missouri. Always remember – Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls.
KYLE PRATT
PROJECT MANAGER
Since joining Forsyth, Kyle has found success across a wide range of project areas including sourcing initiatives for consumer products, cleaning products, LEDs, injection molded components, metal castings, high purity minerals, mission critical springs, and nutrition supplements. He has also made strategic improvements to the distribution and carrier selection for middle market manufacturing companies.

While in college, Kyle became a founding member of his fraternity: Zeta Beta Tau – Omega where he held several leadership roles and managed many small teams. Kyle received his BSBA from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Trulaske College of Business in May of 2018.

In his time at Forsyth, Christopher has leveraged his analytical training in order to develop expertise in industries ranging from household appliances to metal fabrication. It could be said that Christopher has leveraged everything that an associate might leverage in order to maximize clients’ industry leverage.
JONATHAN BABCOCK
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Jonathan Babcock is a Senior Associate with Forsyth aiding in new client engagements. Prior to Forsyth, Jonathan worked in buy-side and sell-side investment banking, leading target identification on both platform and add-on acquisitions for private equity groups and corporations collectively managing over $1B in committed capital. Additionally, Jonathan provided transaction support for senior-level deal managers including financial modeling, valuations, and industry research for companies ranging from $50MM to $250M. Jonathan also worked at KeyBank Real Estate Capital as a Financial Analyst in the CMBS loan portfolio evaluating investment results.

Jonathan holds a B.A. in Accounting with a minor in International Business Management from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

In Jonathan’s free time he enjoys volunteering at the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center and serving as a Board Member at The Buddy Fund.

JONATHAN SHANAHAN
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
After finishing his MBA, John spent time as a marketing associate for a Fortune 500 company where he collaborated with current and prospective vendors to negotiate lower prices and implement cost saving solutions.

As a sourcing associate, he believes in implementing cost-saving strategies that address more than just the bottom line.

When he isn’t working, you’ll find John playing with his dogs, planning the next adventure with his fiancé, and trying very hard not to kill his garden.

Nathan Beckermann

Prior to joining Forsyth, Nate worked in Corporate and Commercial Banking for U.S. Bank. Nate prepared historical financial statement spreads, quarterly trend analysis reports, and financial projections for private and public companies. Additionally, he measured and monitored financial covenants as specified within credit approval documentation.

Nate holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.

In his free time, Nate enjoys spending time with his family, playing softball, and watching Premier League football & Cardinals baseball.

Nick DiPietro
NICK DIPIETRO

Nick attended the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration, where he studied finance and data analytics. Prior to joining Forsyth, Nick worked as an analyst for a boutique investment bank.

He got to work on both buy-side and sell-side M&A deals for companies with an EBITDA between $1 and $10 million. He enjoys working on deals within the tech and healthcare sectors. His responsibilities include financial modeling, valuation, putting together pitch decks and industry research. In college, Nick also interned for KeyBank’s commercial bank and financial advisory units.

Ryan Sadkowski
RYAN SADKOWSKI

Ryan earned his Master of Science in Finance from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management; as an undergraduate Boilermaker, he was named to the 2017 Academic All-Big Ten Team as a member of the football program. Prior to joining Forsyth, Ryan worked in the private wealth and investment management division of Merrill Lynch..

At Forsyth, Ryan engages with dynamic teams to identify and implement more economically efficient strategies to a company’s internal and external operations with a strong focus on their supply chain. In his free time, Ryan enjoys taking on new adventures with his fiancé, Audrey. They are frequent skiers and active in outdoor recreation. If not outdoors, he is probably reading a new book.

MORGAN CHILDERS
ANALYST

Morgan joined Forsyth Advisors to support client sourcing projects, after completing her BSBA at the University of Missouri St. Louis majoring in Supply Chain Management and Transportation. She competed for the UMSL volleyball team and helped the Tritons reach the NCAA Division II Regional Championship.

In her free time, Morgan stays active playing sand volleyball and running with her golden retriever puppy.

HEATHER KARTAL
OFFICE MANAGER
Heather is the only vegetarian we know who owned a burger joint. She previously served in the U.S. Army and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Textile and Apparel Management from University of Missouri.

When away from Forsyth, Heather enjoys time with her husband, three beautiful children, and a bad cat. Heather is also an ambassador for the Mosaic Project and was an active part of the events committee for Home Sweet Home.
